The glossary is a set of short entries for words that show up while you read a reference page. This page is the index. An entry, once it is written, has its own address, for example a tachymeter entry at its own path under this section. The index and the entry each keep their own canonical address.
Words this library uses
Tachymeter is a scale, usually on a bezel, that converts elapsed seconds into a rate. A bezel is the ring around the crystal. An end link is the link that joins a bracelet to the case. Lug-to-lug is the tip-to-tip length of the case. A chapter ring is the track printed or applied inside the dial, under the hands. These words are defined so a reference page can stay on the model instead of stopping to teach vocabulary.
What an entry is not
An entry does not grade a watch, does not name a price, and does not tell you to buy. It explains a word. If you are comparing how a case sits, go to Fit. If you are reading about a chronograph, a date window, or GMT, go to Complications. If you are looking at a bezel insert, a bracelet, or a hand set that someone changed, go to Modifications. Model families are listed from Families.
