Modifications

Modifications are the parts people change after a watch has already been worn: a bezel insert, a bracelet and its end links, and a hand set. This index explains those three notes. It does not sell parts, and it does not treat a changed part as proof of anything about the name on the dial.

The three notes

The bezel-insert note is about the ring that sits in the bezel: how the markings age, how the insert is held, and what a loose insert feels like under a fingertip. The bracelet note is about the links, the end links where the bracelet meets the case, and the stretch that shows up as gaps. The hand-set note is about the hour, minute, and second hands: whether they sit parallel to the dial, whether they clear each other, and whether a replaced hand matches the rest of the furniture.

What stays off these pages

A changed insert or a swapped bracelet is a description of parts, not a claim that the watch matches a showroom piece. If a sentence only praises a grade or a place of origin, it does not belong here. Size still lives on Fit. Chronograph, date, and GMT live on Complications. Families of models live on Families. Terms live on Glossary.

A library page is written by {Site}. A photo post is one person’s notes. Neither authenticates a watch, offers it for sale, or speaks for the name on the dial.
